Okay I have check other forums but I havint had any success.

I was at the drivins and all of a sudden my interior lights went on,
I have checked the door switches, replaced front and back. (No luck)
Bought a new bcm/ bem same colour (blue) - no luck.
Checked the fuses, all fine.

I disconnected the battery for the day and still no luck.

It's driving me crazy, what can I do to fix it.
Thanks

Switch on the side of the headlight switch to bring the interior light on manually?

Cheers,
Tim

Do you have interior delay? The door buttons feed into the BEM and it brings the lights on for the interior delay models...

Are the lights still on with the BEM disconnected?
If so, are the still on with the headlight switch disconnected?

Cheers,
Tim

When I disconnect the bem the interior light go off, when connected they are constantly on.

Ever since I had the car I close the door/ lock it, the lights fade off after like 20 seconds, now they are always on.

I have disconnected the battery and the bem for the night so the battery don't go flat.

I am really stuck at the moment for other ideas?!?!
( driving me insane this crap!!)

Ok then... So it's not the bem and not a short on the output...

Maybe a short on the input? Disconnect all the door buttons and see if it goes off then... If not disconnect the bem and see if you have a circuit to earth? Finding it will be fun...

Cheers,
Tim

Could it be that the light switch itself has shorted on?

Agree with Tim, pull each of your switches in the door frame and check that none of them have jammed on. Has happened to me. They get dirt build up on them and jam. Easy to pull, 2 philips head screws on each and then slide out.

Thanks for the input guys,

Reconnected the battery and bem this morning no luck.

I have removed all door switches and the lights are still on,
I removed the map light (interior roof) nothing there.

I'm going to remove my headunit and look behind there because I'm lost for ideas.

Yeah I did no luck, even gave them a squirt of wd40.

I was looking to see if there may have been a problem with the headunit, when I was taking it off I just accidentally snapped my dl ltd Woodgrain doubledin radio surround in half. :,(

I'm getting over this it's doing my head in..

Sound like there may be an issue with the BCM.

Wait, what's the difference between bcm and bem.

Because I brought a "bem" which sits bellow the lock button on the dash yesterday, I plug it in and smart lock just flashes and it won't work.

Where is the bcm located have I missed something??

Get hold of a gregory's, and have a look at the courtesy light cct, so you understand how it works - just replacing things willy nilly just wastes time, and causes frustration.
You have a short to earth - either in the input line (door switches), or the dimming side of the lighting.
With other doors closed unscrew a door switch, unplug it, and measure resistance from the connector to a mounting hole - if it's a short, your problem lies in that line.
If not, unplug an overhead light, measure from the black/blue line to earth - make sure your door switches are not making an earth (doors open), so you're not confused.
So which ever line the fault is, you can unplug things progressively.

If this thing is an ex chaser (copper car) OPT 20, then maybe the courtesy light modding for it has come unstuck.
