As title says took the NL Lane out for a spin tonight and noticed I have no taillights or brakelights. I figured maybe dodgy brake light switch but taillights as well? Globes are fine fuse is good numberplate light works as do headlights and parkers.Blown globe indicator on dash shows nothing as well. Anyone have any ideas. Looks like I have something to do this weekend.

Check the connector is on properly on the back of the inst cluster Steve.
If it isn't, you won't get tail or stop lights, and bulb out won't work either. Otherwise, pull the plug off, jumper each respective line on the plug, and check if you get tail and stop lights.

Thanks for the replies guys did have cluster out a few weeks ago to fit a speedo corrector so this could be it will check into it tomorrow.

Snap you're a genius saved me hours of wire tracing plug on back of cluster was loose.
Yet another example of how brilliant forums like this are people sharing their knowledge to help others. Thanks Steve |

Not really Steve - pulled out the cluster to replace some blown bulbs, installed it but forgot to fit the rear plug. Out driving one night - no taillights or stoplights . . . .
 Great feature though - didn't carry on in later models unfortunately.
