Nice thing

You mentioned that the comparison car had some headwork, that can be quite a difference. Check PM I sent you, might be a lot of hidden snort to unleash.

If you clean up those AFR's you'll pick up a bit of crispness as well some top.

Thanks Cooky, I reckon if I was to get the smaller pulley, upgrade to 3" exhaust, and some more fine tuning, I'm hoping to hit the 200rwkw mark.

What do u think?

I think a 3 inch system will get you there but a smaller pulley couldn't hurt.
Stock AU's with extractors and a 3 inch system are getting to the 200 mark.
These mods plus the smaller pulley should get you 210-215Kw at the rear.
Remember to wrap the headers and get a cooler thermostat for more constant KW's.

Thanks Champ. Im gonna go for the 61mm pulley. its the next step up from a 64mm. Should up the boost by a lb or 2. It would be interesting to see the outcome.

Have you hooked up the fan to cool the gearbox?

yeah it starts up before I turn over the engine. Just about on all the time I think. Bruce, the tuner has done the job. He knew what he was doing.

i reckon you would get way more gains with a cam upgrade than anything else?

if people with n/a falcons are gaining 20+rwkw just by ditching the stock cam for an aftermarket, then i wonder how much you could gain with a cam swap with boost

yeah I agree with you, but Im trying to get the best I can from an un-opened engine. Thats my goal for now.

Nah mate Im not. I've just set a personal goal thats all. I know what cams can acheive, I've done them before. A cam is something I've looked into.

If I was to go down that path, what would I be spending? Im not up with the latest costs.

I know a cat back 3" exhaust will be around $400
The pulley about $200
Tuning about $450

If I forego the exhaust, could I get away it for around the same price?

regrind cam $180 after posting/receiving cams + shims ($60 from Fraud, or $10 wreckers)

OR

New Billet cam $400

Sounds like easy horsepower to me :)

I'd have to get a grind to suit an s/c application more so than NA I would assume. I'd prefer to go new billet over regrind personally. Plus the cost of fitting/tuning etc. Will have to ask my tuner and see what he can do.

Would you think there was more to gain from just the cam as opposed to the exhaust?
