Heres the story went to the dawn service with my sister this morning on the way home her car 2000 hyundai excel ( yep i know there a sh!tbox )cut out , car would crank over fine but not fire after 10 minutes (roughly) the car fired up and runs perfectly , it happened the other night as well after she parked it to go to the flexi teller when she got back it wouldn,t start then when i got there about an hour later i started it straight away , i unfortunately no bugger all about electrics so what should i be lookin at first

sounds like a heat soak problem.

like a tfi module on the early xe/f's ets

No i don,t think so mate as the car wasn,t hot this morning it had only been running for max 5 mins and it wasn,t hot when i opened the bonnet

check crank angle sensor
my wife has a 1990 scoup was doing similar thing changed computer/temp sensor/maf sensor no help changed dissy all ok
crank angle sensor in dissy going faulty played up hot or cold
