I know I've seen this topic covered here before, but dammed if I can find it in any search :?
This car just goes through them like crazy.

If I recall correctly, there was no single cause identified (?)
but a few things to check.

Anyone got any clues?

Does the coil pack completely die or just fails on 1 or 2 coils?

I would look at ignition leads first and are you using a Bosch replacement.

Usually the coil pack starts by breaking down at high RPM only, but this quickly becomes more noticeable at low RPM also.
Within 100 k/m or so, the car is completely out on 1 or 2 cylinders.
The coils look fine when removed, and have no marks or burns anywhere.
Checked the leads last time and all were within the Ford-specified resistances. (This is my third set of leads BTW)
