Hey all,
I think that tricking the Auto ECU would be too difficult to do (I am a novice with electronics). What would happen if I was just to run an Auto ECU, without adding the resistors to it?? I would only be until I get my hands on a manual one. What would be the easiest way to trick it?? I have tried searching for stuff to trick the EF ECU, and all it says is to PM Jaysen. I am wondering what resistors I need, and where is the easiest place to put them?? Cheers Chris

7.2k ohm on the gearbox temp wires , (big white round plug to box )
1.2k ohm on the gear selector ( black 2 pin plug )

Where are those plugs?? I havent attempted the conversion yet. Are they at the gearbox?? Cheers Chris

They are the plugs that connect the gearbox loom to the engine loom - when you start the conversion youll see them right away.
If you dont trick the computer, it will go into limp home lode (chew fuel, no power). Even when it is tricked it is still not as good as a manual computer.

Idle control and Fan control are adversely effected when an auto EEC is used on manual vehicle without any "tricks".
