hi im new to the forum and i just brought a 2004 ba xr6 ute few months ago when im having a bit of fun, in it when the revs get around 5500-6000 the power just drops out back to around 2000rpm any one got any idears what this could be thanks luke

How much more do you expect it to rev too ? :?

no more i just thought it should hold it instead of just dropping out back to 2000 rpm ?? or is this what they do

It probably drops of as a safety precaution so you dont break the engine.
I dont rev my car to 6000 rpm so im not sure if my BA is the same.
Probably not wise holding your car at 6000 rpm anyway.
