Since we're talking about the future, I'd rather an all electric car than a 'renewable' combustable source. There are some prototype electric cars running round the states that will do 0-100 in under 3 seconds..... and they're about 500kg lighter that a conventional car.... and no, they don't run out of juice in 50km. They've actually got some respectable ranges.
