About 7% off. But I'm not sure whether this will be up or down.

Well it'd be nice if it shifted at a higher rpm wouldn't it!

Not really
I have to back the accel off in mine or I bounce off the limiter a couple of times
But yours will go the other way mark, if you just do the ECU.
It will shift early, I think. That's what my brain is saying anyway.
How early, I couldn't tell you, but that ain't a bad thing.
Depending on mods, the 6's usually run out of puff up high.
I wish mine would shift just after 4500 at full throttle.
I need a shiftkit to firm up the shifts, I know it ain't doing it any good to be backing off, therefore initiating a fairly soft shift, then planting it halfway through.

Correct.
But then you have to f**k around with a speedo frequency corrector.
I'll get an XR ECU one day...

is there any way to reprogram the ecu to change the shift points or is that a no go zone?

If The ECU came from a 6 and going into a 6 it wont change the speedo
readings. The ECU from the police cars makes the following changes.
When placed in drive it will remain in third gear under 65ks,this is handy for city driving.
It will allow your car to reach its maximum output.a normal ECU shuts down at 3500 revs with a speed of 185ks. what there full out put is i cant help you, just as long as it came from an auto and going into an auto you wont have to change anything else.
