hi all i have a EF FAIRMONT i have been told that to change the fuel pump or clean the fuel pump strainer it is in the boot but its not there, all there is, is the spare wheel which sits on top of the fuel tank nothing else is there please help i have idle problems i would like to clean the strainer i have changed the fuel filter already

fuel pumps in the tank....see the wires on top of your tank in the boot, under there, plus for idle problems id check vac leak from the MAF or crank angle sensor

is the MAF sensor yhe one on the firewall and also where is the crank angle sensor thanks

MAP sensor is on the firewall, yes (assuming this is a 6 cyl).

The crank angle sensor for an EF is a hall effect sensor mounted on the engine, behind the harmonic balancer.
