Ok Ive converted my 351 to straight gas. I havent lost any power, but what sort of economy should i expect ?
ie: L / 100km
The 351 is stock except for extractors.
Im only running a 300 Mixer atm until i can get a 425.
and my tank is only 63L capacity ( i know its too small, but will get another) I havent been impressed so far, im only getting about 160 - 180 kms out of it, and 95% of that is freeway driving. The Clevo has just been rebuilt with gas heads, and has only about 2000kms on it . Would this be a factor? Any advice or comments are appreciated.
Cheers.

Something not right there mate. Toddys' 351 powered clevo is on gas and he gets around 400ks from a tank. Only difference is the mixer: his has got the 425 on it (if not bigger!) Time for a tune or something! 8-)

What size is his tank? I should have at least a 80 - 90 litre tank like most people do , but Ive only got a 60L. Its a new motor, stillgetting run in.

Wots ya zorst like? Isn't restrictive at all? The different mixer won't make it run richer; more on the lean side and gutless. Bout all we can think of other than tuning :?

I had a 351C on gas and never got over 12 mpg (whatever that is in l/100km's) no matter how hard or soft I drove it, it always gave the same, even when towing. About 280 k's out of a tank which I think was 70 litres odd

My dual fuel 351 in a Lanau always got 350-400k's out of a 70l gas tank. It was pretty stock except for extractor and 650 vac sec Holley. I'd check all your electrics (sparky's, leads, dizzy) and then get the gas tuned.

Could it be because im running a Mallory twin point dissy. Because theres no vacuum advance on these dissy's , the timing is advanced a fair bit.. My clevo is new with gas heads and extractors, no other mods. My range varys, got about 180k's from it this week- 63L tank.
