if the ecu in a falcon gets replaced, do you need to reprogram the key or the fob in to the car?

or is all that info held in the BEM?

PM BenJ, he just replaced his EL ECU and would know for sure. The key itself doesn't need reprogramming, it is left in the on position for 30+ minutes so that the ECU and Smartlock can get acquainted.

Up until AU1, if you just replace the ECU, you dont need to do anything (not even associate BEM with ECU) - as the smartlock code is the same in all models.

Only if you change the ignition Barrel or the BEM
