hey guyz

i picked up a EA T5, inc a Manual EA MPFI ECU, (3.9L), i was wondering, if there would be power differences between that ECU and a EBII Manual ECU (4.0L)

remmeber the EA MPFI engines were 139KW and the EBII's 4.0L's were 148, i currently have a EBII Auto Ecu, so programmed for 4.0l so to speak, but if i put in a EA MPFI ecu, will my engine have a loss of power at all? wont rev as hard or something? differnt air fuel mixtures??

thanks!

The only thing I can think of is displacement, which is a variable in the required fuel, but although with such a little difference I don't see it making any big differences either...

So, I would just stick it in, see if it starts, if so go for a drive, and see how it feels. You are right about the power differences in the EA-EBII models..And it would also probably come down to the head, exhaust, and cam. (And compression IIRC).

Cheers

why do you want a manual ECU so bad? Resistors didn't work for you?

Cheers
