EECIV cant do it, you can rig up a shift light to switch the runners, but then your fuel and timing maps are out. the BEST choice is to go to an EL ECU, that way you get BBM controll, the proper maps AND thermofan control

Use a Jaycar RPM switch to trigger the solenoid that operates the butterflies. Heaps of people have done it that way. It is basically the same circuit as a shift light, as JOSE suggests.

To clear something up first - the electronic torque control has nothing todo with the intake manifold.

As far is the BBM goes though, Jose is right. An rpm switch set to 3800rpm will switch the manifolds in the same was as the ef/el ecu's BUT there is a fair bit of a difference in tune between the long and short runners that the old ecu's obviously arent tuned for. If possible, get yourself an EL ecu.
