the ef wagon i had for sale now isnt due to a pain in the a** fault...
in the last few weeks to start it occasionally you need to tap the dash near the bem...well yesterday its locked itself into limp home mode, the gauges are going haywire..i.e. it starts of fine and then within 10 secs the battery light comes on and the gauges die..they dont come back on...
we have a few bems here so we removed the one out of the wagon which is a black one,and replaced it with a black sedan one we have..all the functions worked but it wouldnt kick over.we also have a blue one and a gren one..same again..
so we swapped computers, the wagon one for the sedan one we have..it started but wouldnt idol..
after all this and resseting the computer we are back to square one...can anyone please help..
thanks guys.

Strange one, could be a power issue.

BEM has no affect on engine operation once running.

Did you program the BEM to operate in the donor car?

When you put a donor BEM you have to leave the ignition on for 30 mins or so with the doors closed. After a time the door locks will circle and its all done.

If it starts ok and only is running rich with poor or no idle possibly map sensor or hose going to it split. Is everything else back ok now you have changed and reprogrammed bems? I know if you remove one it must be replaced with the same colour one and reprogrammed as mentioned above.

only runs rich and no idle when we swap the computers..we have gone with a replacement black bem but still the same issues with dash and limp home mode.
