Economy what economy, when i bought my falcon eb1 3.9 with an exhaust and nothing else it would get 770 from a tank on the highway and about 480km around town

since ive done the EL motor conversion/injection i think id be lucky to crack 350km VERY lucky, its s**t my badly coz i cant even afford to drive the thing the way it is.... why all of a sudden dodgy economy, does the EL comp want the engine running hotter?? ive noticed cruising at 100 with the torque converter locked it jerks abit, dont know why my TPS are both linked together the ECU and Auto computer could this be causing a problem? im still running the stand alone auto computer... there could be a million things on this s**t :@ and to top it my anger with this car yesterday i raced a VX supercharged and he was pulling away....I used to be able to pull away from them...Id love to burn this car.

well until my holidays i wont be pulling anything else apart from my EL so ull all have to wait till then and ill see if i can figure it out or not.

Phong - I'd check your thermostat - make sure it's not stuck open (like they often do!)...I'd replace it anyway if it hasn't been replaced before - 91 degree I think is the one you want.

I'd definitely have injectors cleaned or get new ones...you won't regret it.

thanks steve. ill probably fork out all the money to get all new sensors and replace the whole thing......quicker and gets it over and done with =D. cant wait till the holidays so i can get this done. cheers

well i got my thermostat while i was out today and i didnt get the chance to do it yet because it was hot and now its too dark and cold outside so im going to put it in tomorrow morn before the mt macedon cruise and see how it goes while im going to mt macedon =D

well i found out that the previous thermostat was open when it was cold so obviously it was a dud so i replaced it. went on the mt macedon cruise and it ran a bit better. but the economy didnt increase too much. its probably down to 19l/100km from a 22. so there are things still to come.
