well im not the only person who probably has this issue but ever since i got my EL its been not very well on the economy side as i expected. now i know some reasons of why, MAP sensor, oxy sensor, temp sensor, air filter and fuel filter.

fuel filter was replaced (previous one was blocked), i swapped the MAP sensor from the EA to the EL but nothing changed, havent touched the oxy sensor or temp. fuel filter seems dirty so needs a clean. now what other things can cause this problem?

btw i have a hissing sound sometimes coming from behind the glove box/dashboard area but i dunno what it is? would that cause a problem?

i heard some ECUs can also be "tricked" to think it is cold and so putting more petrol in. could that be a problem too?

please i want my car to at least run better then 15l/100kms driving like a granny.

cheers

phong =P~

oh another note. i bought my car from the auctions and it was sitting there for quiet a while. the fuel filter was blocked...i was blowing through it and my cheeks would puff before air got through. that stopped the rough idle problem.

supposedly the gregories manual said that the fuel return line could be a problem. but i dunno how to check that.

hmm sometimes smoke coming from exhaust. i think i need to resort to investing in some tools for diagnostics.
