EF is a true EEC-V. EF's were not nor ever EEC-IV.

EL is a bit of a EEC-IV and EEC-V hybrid.

My understanding of true EEC-V is it has sequential injection and coilpack (wasted spark) ignition or coil on plug ignition. EF's esentially have all this (well, the wiring for sequental injection anyways).

EL's went back to dizzy for ignition and bank injection firing. EL ECU's are essentially an ED ECU with 4 extra wires for BBM and thermo fans. So really EEC-IV.

Also explains why EF's use a 104 pin ecu, as opposed to the 60 pin for an EL.

If it's for the speed limiter removal, don't bother. One it's there for a very good reason, and two the cop ECU's just raise it to 210KM/H.

Chris is definatly talking from experience here.. Speed limiters are not to be F%^$Ked with..

Tail shaft loops and alloy shafts becone a necisity.

you want if for the firmer shift? get a shift kit.

there are a few other very minor gains but for the $$ outlayed don't bother.

no more power to be had out of them.
