Hi guys.

I asked the following question in the V8 workshop initially but it might be better to ask it here:

Did the Police ever drive around Ford V8 ( XR8 ? ) cars or were they all I6's? I am interested to know if there was ever a V8 ex-chaser ECU and if so, what the features were compared to stock?

Yes there was. I test drove two EF V8 ex-chasers.

They had the normal chaser ECUs with no limiter (or raised well above 200kph) and the shift pattern differences.
ID plates did say OPT 20 on them.

I am interested to know if there were any fuel and ignition mapping differences for those ECU's as compared to our stock V8 ECU's?

I dont think there was. I know a couple of cops and they said the only differences are the no limiter and the shifting.
