last week my car stopped due to the fuel pump relay packing it in. was no big drama replaced the relay and was going again. today the car stopped again, this time my fuel pump stopped.

would it be the fuel pump that made the relay s**t itself last week?

could it be a short that made both these items fail within one week of each other?

or could it be pure coincidence!

i will replace the fuel pump first thing in the morning when the spare parts open. i just want to make sure theres no problems so that my new fuel pump wont s**t itself aswell

any advice would be greatly appreciated

maybe we often have people come in saying they replaced the relay and the fuel pump has stopped. make sure that you get a fuel filter as well sometimes they can cause the pump to stuff up if there blocked. its a pain putting a new fuel pump in and having to replace it cause its burn't out due to blocked filter.

it was the fuel pump. it was on its way out and had put too much load on the relay
