my MPFI 3.9 EB just today coming home from lunch and turning the corner and she died at first i thought f**k leads bad battery auto etc etc etc but i pulled over locked her up and got a lift back to work.

this arvo (pissing down rain) (i mean PISSING down rain) had a tinkle with a few things nothing just cranked and cranked and dad tapped (with some force) and she fired up and we took it home. my fuel pump is dieing (happend to dads EA months before) is the EA 3.9 and the EB 3.9 fuel system different? or some pumps regs etc etc or are they different?

Will EF/EL pumps work? or they different fuel pressures?
Will 4L EB/ED Pumps work? or agiain differnet pressures etc?
is the EA and the EB3.9 same fuel pump?
How much do they cost? should i get one from the wreckers ( i work at the local Parts Plus) or is it best to get a new unit?

Back tracking a bit dad had the same problem and he replaced his pump but really dodgey (or lack of room to tighten up clamp) and his boot smells of petrol and can't really get a full 62litres of petrol

Cheers for any ad vice

Oh yeah... and my brother fixed it for me today so i told him to stay for T. He just left 10mins ago and his car just did the same thing halfway down my court. haha.

I had to help him push it back. Then he banged it a few times and it started. I'm just waiting for the phonecall incase it does it again and i gotta go pick him up.
