I know this forum is more for the fuel systems side of it but i coodnt find anywhere else to post this. As some might no i have a sweet ED and a not so sweet XD ute (which im doing up). Now my sweet ED uses lotsa sweet juice and me bein an apprentice dont got much sweet dough u followin? lol. Anyway da XD ute has half a tank and no matter wat i do i cant syfen nothin from it, ive tried all kinds a hoses but it must have a valve or grill or summin to stop me suckin da s**t out. Is there any way to get into that fuel tank? Cheers people!

take the xd fuel tank out if u doin the xd up n drivn the ed...but chek tht tha gas not got lotsa S**T in it b4 puttn it in ed..and carful not to spil it wen u takng tank off,,,,,,,,,,,,,thts my two cents

why don't u just use the fuel pump of the XD to pump the petrol out and catch it at the engine bay?......like unplug the fuel supply line. extend the line to the ED and u have ur own mini servo.

only electric fuel pumps were in XE/XF EFI I6's unless someone has fitted an aftermarket electric pump

Hey thanks for all your replies, thats an awesome idea to get it from the fuel pump becoz believe it or not this little apprentice mechanic has already changed out the crappy xd engine and now has an xf engine with, wait for it.... an electric fuel pump lol thanks everyonme yet again i was stupid not to think of it
