mate had one fitted bout 2 weeks ago, after we converted it to a manual. its up to just over 220hp now and is in the high 14's with it, he cant get traction at the moment. but its a s**t more responsive and revs a lot harder. if you can get the map for you car custom made, youll get more out of it that way.

I just chased CAPA up about these for the E -series cars and they said it will have the same functionality as the BA flash tuner. It's also cheaper at $769. Coming out in about 2-3 months, just like 2-3 months ago LOL.
But this will hopefully be the answer to all aftermarket ecu/ unichip/ trans/ cam/ modification questions. I am saving my pennies now....

Sounds bloody good to me. Until they ban P platers from getting them  But yeah sounds good if it comes out for the E-Series, i will definately start saving for one.

They banned them from nearly everything else. Plus you watch some bozo will get it and tune the car and go kill himself. Then they will find out he used that as a power increase etc and then yeah.

But yeah if anyone knows if these flash tuners are the ducks nutz then i may have to get one for my dad soon.

A flasher for the E-Series? EEC-V and IV?
It's only like, what, 10 years late... :P
If it's compatible with EEC-IV I'm gonna cream my pants right now...

Yeah it's actually on their parts list already under ford power parts listed as "Performance Tune Module".

I suppose only recently has demand to modify these cars got higher. 10 years ago most people didn't mess with EFI that much.

It's definately coming. :-)

I like this very much.
Seeing as they hold multiple tunes, I could get one, and have a dedicated LPG tune for my dual fuel.
The possibilities excite me very much... almost too much..
yep definately too much..

OK, one thing im fairly confident on...

You cant flash a pre-AU EEC unit. So for the EF-EL ECU it will most likely be a unit which plugs into the J3 port. EEC can then replace its maps and constants with values it reads from the port.

Just like a tweecer.

Yeah, but they said it would have the same functionality (I asked them twice). Ie Switching maps ect. Basically I think they have taken a tweecer (or similar) and cracked the codes for the EECV (maybe EECIV too???).
