My pump died a couple of weeks ago in the carpark at work, used a very large pin punch and a 6lb mash hammer, had it changed in 20mins during my lunch break... :D :D

I just replaced mine and I tried the screwdriver damaged a couple of the tages then tried a peice of timber 1cm square that I could hit hard but not damaged the tags.

Worked great.

How you ask?
to get the ring off use a 8 spanner & the black cap
ok it requires 2-3 people 1 yourself & 2 mates will do fine!
Tools required
2 long screw drivers
3x20+ spanners.

Ok 1st person will push a screw driver threw the ring end of the spanner onto one of the plastic tabs say about 10 o'clock.
2nd person will push a screw driver threw the ring at the end of the spanner say about 4 o'clock whilist the 3rd person pushes the spanner into the spanner with the screw driver at 4 o'clock and watch the cap move anti-clock wise.
Reapeate the process as this will save HEAD f**k HEAD ACHES LIKE IN THE PREVIOUS POSTS and pitty I can't upload photo's to my PC at the moement or otherwise I would have done a DOCO but if your fuel pump f**k out feel free to make this into a doc.
