Well hello fellas im in germany at the moment and at Shell they sell 100% octane.........and the exhausts from the car are clean....well the new ones anyways. im sure the petrol is clean too.

if u bring an aussie car over to europe and use their petrol would the car run alrite? Im sure it would run well better and cleaner.

phong, the diesel there is 100x cleaner then ours. you'll be suprised that 90% of the cars you actually see driving around including corsa's (barina's) are actually diesel!

they also have biodiesel there as well..

australia's petrols = s**t.. its a known fact unfortunately.

whilst your there, go to conrad and do some shopping or in foliatec :P

There octane rating system is completely different. Their RON is a combo between real and measured, something along those lines. It's not apples for apples tho.

IIRC US 84 equates to AUS 91

yeah i noticed that cars here run on diesel a lot and diesel is like 20 Euro Cents cheaper then Unleaded 90RON......and they had now ERDGAS.....which is in literal translation EARTH GAS....so im guessing biodiesel or something......btw Taxies here are all Mercs..........so nice to ride in them hahaha but bloody expensive....must say the air is much cleaner here then australia.....we gotta catch up to this type of petrol.

Diesel aint a great idea here due to the amount of bright sunlight we get, something about the particles from the diesel reacting with the light, which causes smog.
Not a major concern for Europe

phong, if your in munich go to the merc dealer in the city. you can buy a merc fully fitted "taxi" ready to go on the road. (also sweet a** 5 level merc dealership with EVERY merc, almost likea museum!)

merc, audi, bmw all make taxi's from factory over there.
