hey all.

awhile ago i bought a eb that was in the process of being converted to a v8.

now my question is can anyone tell me if the ecu i have is for a v8 or a 6 banger?

the number on the ecu is E9TF-12A650-AEB.

cheers.

turn the ecu over.. that number you read is on the back of the ECU in small red writing

you need the front sticker that has the code on it..

like this one below.. the 4 digit code and the 12a650 code would help find the answer

I'm no expert but the fact it has A9L on the tag means its probably a US Mustang A9L ecu :D which is a great V8 ecu.

The A9L is a very sought after computer because a lot is known about the code inside. If it is the A9L you are not restricted in tuning it. It is the choice for EFI conversions because there is no security system associated. I am not convinced it is a A9L however because they are not usually stamped in this manner. I suspect your catch code is E9D1. But have been wrong before.
