I would steer well clear of them. They are basically a unichip that costs as much as an aftermarket ecu.

I didnt think JMM even sold them anymore.

I have one, but I haven't fitted it yet, was about $1200. all programable fuel and ign timing, turbo, NOS, extra fuel etc. Has its own MAP sensor it to go to 22psi boost. I'm going to need it for my new engine.

The JMM Interceptor is not an ECU persay, but an inline tweaker of signals.
You still need the OE ECU to run the show, the interceptor changes injection & timing to what you want. Best done on a dyno.

Yes, the interceptor works in a similar way to a unichip. It really is not an ideal way to tune an engine, but it does work.

For that kind of money I would go an aftermarket ecu, but if you want to keep the ford ecu there, an edit or chiptorque is good value for money and technically a better product.

However, no matter what you get the end result will only be as good as a tuner. A tuner who does a proper job with a unichip will get more power out of an engine than a hacked up tune on a motec. The way you should go about picking your product is to find the person you want to do the tuning and go with their preferred product.
