the EMS looks ok.. but I dunno about the race tape.. I've seen better...

What exactly are you looking at doing... throwing a turbo on a stock car?

manual? auto? keeping EDIS, or going distributor?

Some details would be awesome.

Cheers

Like, completely stock? No other work but a turbo and an ecu?

Um.. well, that ECU will suffice, and can even do sequential injection (which is favoured over coil on plug imo).

Been manual, the only thing you need your stock ECU for is the dash, smartlock, etc... judging by that loom, you are completely replacing the ECU?

And you should probably look at strengthening the motor aswell... they are built like tanks.. and it's been done in the past.. but with a short term life span.

Cheers

I have a plug and play Megasquirt ecu kit for sale for an EF. It leaves the factory ecu in place to control everything except the engine. it works with the factory coil packs and sensors. Search for my user name in the for sale section. it will also be Listed on ebay tonight.

yeah but I think that $950 is to much for that cuz I can get a EMS stinger for $800 but I will keep it in mind incase I cant get the stinger.

.. the stinger?

Eh, I wouldn't bother with the stinger.. 8860 yeah.. stinger no. Your money, so whatever you want... but wouldn't recommend the stinger.

Cheers

Nothing wrong with the ECU itself, but when you weigh up price vs features, compare it to the 8860, the 8860 wins by far.

Cheers
