This NF I own won't start on LPG.

Is that because there is no LPG inside the tank.

The car will start on petrol. How can I tell the LPG system is a genuine Ford gas kit?

The fuel switch is mounted between the aerial height switch and rear demister switch (see pciture).

Well if the tank is empty it wont run on LPG!

Fairlanes didnt have a Tickford LPG option.
All Tickford LPG vehicles have a Tickford ID plate in the engine bay.

Why not fill up the LPG tank to start with to see if this is causing the issue?

there will be a plate some where under the hood that reads "tickford lpg" with a picture of the wings in red text ( has the date the gas was installed ,size of tank ,ect
to see how much gas is really left, on the tank you will see a door with a wing nut ,in there you will find a gague

Its got a black plate on the RH side of the engine bay. Its an Impco gas system. Got about 1 year and nine months left on it - I may get it tested during the roadworthy.

I put $20 of LPG in it and starts fine.

Need an exhaust as the current one is split underneath.

There is a battery - I just charged the one in there overnight and all day and it's fine.

Does anyone have a spare intake tube as mine has got a studded cover (pop riveted patch).

I picked up an intake tube for $65 - looks very clean, maybe unused.
