ive tried to modify a skyline R33 fuel pump to suit my EB XR8. Everything fits fine except for the filter bag , the hole on the XR8 filter bag is too big to go over the R33 pump hole. I cant use the R33 bag because its too long and bends in a different way.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

For the cost of aftermarket fuel pumps I would have just gone with a Walbro 190 or 255l/hr unit, but seeign you alrady have it the only way I think you can solve it is to search around for a suitable sock filter but thats going to be difficult. You can't modify the skyline filter to suit?

a suitable sock filter!!! is this sock filter a multiple fitting filter?

Id be fine if the filter bent the other way and the i could find a hose that has 2 diff sizes on each end.

I think im just going to have to buy a normal XR8 filter.

Cheers for your assistance

You could find a hose that fits over the pumps inlet and fits inside the filter pipe, might take a while to find but when you have it, just snip an small piece ( 10mm or so ) and use it like a reducer

is this a joke?? Ya can't fit the entire RB30 motor in there, so you'll just settle for the fuel pump?? :P
