Are you sure cranking is in % ? Im looking at it now with MT 2.25 under cranking pulsewidth and cranking pw tabled in ms.
Warmup enrichment is the main one i can think of that would be in %.

My car doesnt start with a 2ms crank or prime ps.. it needs at least 3ms at 70deg with 4 making it start even faster, above 4 makes no difference.

how things going scott. is the car running mate.

in warmup wizard these are my settings.

priming pulse 2.0ms

pulsewidth at 50f 10.0ms

pulsewidth at 160f 2.0ms

floodclear at 70%

my car starts and runs fine on these setting.

If your in ignition optoins its

50% for cranking

70% for afterstart

25% for normal

hope this helps further

Kelvin

nah. im so frustrated. i thought i had no spark. in fact i was sure of it. i removed no. 1 lead and got spark to earth ok. but 2- 6 has stuff all. i replaced the coil pack as it had given me intermitent probs before. still same prob, so it's not the coil. or the crank angle sensor. or the ecu relay. or any fusible links. when i crank the motor over it tries to fire, but quickly dies and then smells BAD of petrol. i think its flooding. the tps is set so at closed throttle resistance is well below flood control value. (if this is active the injectors will NOT fire as it will always think its flooded).

i feel im so close but cant find the problem. ive spent 2 days hunting it down now.

the only anomoly i can see now is the resistance values of the coolant sensor is wrong, and it is telling megatune the coolant and manifold air temp is -30*.

what resistance values do you have for the mat and coolant temp feilds, dude?

cheers

scott

oh yeah and i thought it would be a good idea to leave the ignition duties to the eecv for now, so im only trying to get fuel to work at the moment

Where are you getting the RPM input for the MS from? The stock ECU doesn't like sharing the PIP signal.

Try using the RPM signal from the diagnostic port for the MS.

Y dont u wire the ms2 in full and forget the stock ecu.IMO. If you are using the stock ecu as well i'm lost on the settings because mine runs the whole lot. I think your email address is here so i can send a full map save of my settings if you haven't got one, but it won't just go straight to 2.88 you have to manually put the figures in. IMO start at the beginning, Check the ecu is getting the proper signals. Make sure u have all the jumpers to the correct settings in the ms2.

P.S. i think u will need rpm trigger.

thanks for that. are you using an edis module or direct coil control?
i could always load 2.35 and load in your maps directly?

cheers

no not using edis just coil but the ms2 is going straight to a mallory hi-fire ignition not that matters to much. are u running a crank angle sensor or a tfi distributor.

will send u a full map but will need to find the thermistor setting from ms manual as they dont copy across for some reason. Remember when doing setting must do both air and coolant.

Yeah i know it a pain. If ur running an angle sensor, that is called a variable reluctor i think, so u need to change the jumber in the ms2 to TSEL to VRIN. Just double check though. Sent u a map in an email. Please remember only a guide on ve tables but should start the car once thermistor settings are right and u set the trigger offset.

Haven't put it on a dyno yet so don't know for sure still messing with the tune myself, learn more that way.
