get the bosch ones, they are the same but have 4 electrodes instead of 3. They are much better, $10 ea tho

i noticed a small improvment in power and economy

First of all for your fuel comsumption readings ignore the trip computer. Best way is to fill up the tank and reset your tripmeter. Go for a reasonable drive (don't need to empty the tank) and then refill it back up to the brim. Divide how many litres it takes to refill the tank by how many kilometers you drove times 100 and you'll get your true reading. The tripmeter in every Falcon I've owned has been a fair bit off.

Check for external leaks in fuel system, check your fuel pressure regulator or a block return fuel line. Check for a collasped cat or muffler in exhaust system..

I get 8-9l on the highway and 11-12l per 100km intown. Thats an El fairmont with k&n filter, airholes in airbox, stock snorkel, 4499 pacies, high flow cat and 2.5in cat back exhaust

cheers............

Try to go for longer drives. Thus getting the engine to operating temperature, maybe you have a thermostat problem have you noticed your temperature of the engine..But also remeber you have an XR model falcon they tend to be savage on fuel around town.I own a ED XR6 5spd and its savage around town but when you go for long drives i get around 700kms out of a tank and at worst times i got around 500kms when i drive it more briskly...

What thermostat are you running???
Make sure you use the correct Ford one (aftermarket ones are crap and cause nothing but problems).
