hi guys.
hopped in the ba this morning to go to work, flicked the keys on to second spot (reds) and noticed the fuel pump was a fair bit noisyer than normal. as i normally wait for the fuel system to prime before starting. also last week on a long trip up a bit of a hill full throttle igher up in the revvs it sounded like it was leaning out / detonating a bit. safe to assume fuel pump is dieing a slow painful death?

Fuel pump is pretty quiet on mine man, as in I dont think i have ever heard it, so Id get it checked out before it just drops out on you like it did in my old vectra, RACV guy hit the tank with a hammer to start it, so if you get stranded you could give that a go, but might not work on a ford, holdens are a bit strange like that, need a beating to make them work...
But Id get that looked at before it gets you stuck somewhere.

Well I'm the only person that does the lookin on my car.
Fix almost everything myself  . Might grab a fuel pump off evilbay, they only 60 bux. Thnx for the input anyway.
