at the moment my car is running ritch so i been testing sensors and my o2 sensor is reading .38v what dose this reading mean i am geting a new 1 this week

It sounds like its working. Have you checked your setup for vacuum leaks as yet?

An o2 sensor should never have a stationary reading when the engine is running. It detects rich and lean... if rich, EEC leans mixture a little... if lean, EEC richens mixture a little and tries to 'average' a stoich mix... depending on temp, etc - it should swing between rich and lean at least once per second.

If the o2, eec and the injection system are all working properly... the reading will swing from around 0.1v (rich)to 0.9v(lean)... and at idle/cruise SHOULD hopefully average 0.45v-0.5v as this corresponds to a stoich ratio.

EDIT: I should have said "Will never have a stationary reading WHEN UP TO TEMP AND OPERATING IN CLOSED LOOP MODE... this occurs between 60-120 seconds after startup. May be longer if very cold...
