how longs a peice of string?

i mean petrol prices are going up, get used to it. some 4 cylinders arn't cheap to run either considering. depends if you need the space and power of a 6, you might tow your boat, and so trading the EF in for a Charade isn't a viable option compared to LPG.

If you drive a v8 dont complain about fuel

However its getting ridiculous, I am considering a duel fuel mod. Seen a couple of mods done recently and seems to be rather easy to hook up.

Certainly not for HP but cheap to run around and can swithch back when I want to.

But how long till they tax LPG? thats the question.

you never know if the lpg tax will end up going ahead or not, look at how they were going to tax petrol more but decided against it. besides 2011 is 5 years away,an LPG conversion would of payed itself off many times over by then!

Only this week there was talk of reducing petrol tax to make it more affordable, so where will they take the lost revenue from?

Most of us will end up using alternative fuels and with the increase in usage lil johnny wont be able to help himself whether it 6 months or 5 years. It is only a matter of time.

wise investment into a nice push bike, a helmet and a set of gloves to keep ur hands warm during winter..........anyways on topic..........some 4 cylinders cost more to maintain especially if u get a dent or something stuffs up in the engine. probably ending u costing the same. just because u put less at the bowser dun mean its going to ALWAYS work out cheaper in the long term.

phong =P~

Hi the price of LPG is already to high considering we sell it to japan for 00.3c a letre.. Unless you are doing more then 20,000 km a year it would take about 10 years to pay for itself as you would go through about 5 or 6 head gaskets in that time... Gas might be cheep at the pump but repaires will cost a lot more...

Besides the cost of having the system certified, the cost is reasonable (cost of a wrecked taxi) if installed yourself. I had a look at a mates dual fuel install last week and if your handy with a spanner it isnt rocket science.

As for the gaskets I can handle a weekend in the shed fixin these sort of things if it means I can still afford cruisn.
