Realistically in a quick calculation of 65,000kms a year.
Say about $80 a tank to 350-400kms of driving in the city of normal fuel you would save approx $3800 up to $9000 depending on how much driving you do. With a min of $2500+ AT least of saving a year on driving its most definately worth it. Costs me $20 to fill up and i get about 280-350 in the city and about 390-600 on freeway. So i guess people have to work out if they really want it and not umms and ahhs in the end because longer u wait the more money you spend! And once again LPG comes down to the tuner and product you use, just as much power can be there if done properly. |

I'm only doing 9000 ks a year now, (as opposed to the 28000 I was doing a few years back!
So its not as big a deal as is used to be! thats why I made the calculator. If circumstances change, and I move somewhere with no trains, and have to drive, then it'll definately be back on the agenda! Just by the way, after entering your data into the spreadsheet, a brand new install would pay for itself after 3 and a half months

I also have a spreadsheet which i created a few days ago maily prompted by the upward price trend for petrol and the desire to check my options.
One thing i would like to include is the increase in fuel prices based on the expected introduction of lpg excise. Anyone know what, when, how much ? Could also be interesting to factor in loan costs
So how do i upload tmy current spreadsheet to share it with others fordmods members ? cheers, itchione |

Well from what I've seen and read Paul, from 2011 there will be an excise of 12c/litre added (there's currently no excise on LPG), but that is supposed to be capped (Hmmmm).

To add a file, there is an item at the bottom of the page to add files, (when creating a post,) but make sure the extension is allowed, by selecting the "Allowed extensions and sizes" link.[/url] |

Seems when i click on "Allowed extensions and sizes" link, all i get is a blank page. Guess this is a Mozilla issue, actually, more likely a non standards complient (Explorer) web page
So without being able to read the rules, guess i will just attach my spreadsheet and see if it sticks - which it sees to

Nice work
Different approach to mine, but excellent. Mind if I incorporate the "extra consumption rule" into mine? Currently I just have to esimate mine and add the value in manually.
