Yo this has prob been asked heaps before, but ive got a ef the only mod is exhaust with extractors, if i put an xr6 ef ecu in would i get any power increase at all? Soz for the dumb question, but ya gotta ask to learn.

i noticed an improvement with a tickford ECU, but mainly due to the fact i have a cam - it helped my idle, and gave me better response. it wouldn't be my next port-of-call after an exhaust - i'd be doing extractors/cam first, but if you can get it for the right price, why the hell not!

only difference i noticed with a XR6 ECU was my car idled better with the Wade Stage 2.

How much better is the idle you guys are achieving? Does it stop stalling or just remove the hunting?

noticed quite a difference, the idle was better and was a bit smoother accross the rev range
