In reality, by just installing only the Tickford ECU with no other mods, you will not notice any difference at all.

The tickford six was only 9kw? more from memory, and that included larger valves, higher compression, tickford camshaft, higher rated fuel pressure reg and the ECU.

Then Ford used a lower 3.45 gear ratio to make it feel more spirited.

Having said all of that, if you can acquire, the fuel reg and the ECU, install a better intake piping and extractors and 2.5" exhaust, you will feel a difference, especially through the mid range. Adding the 3.45LSD diff really does make the car faster from a standing start and more lively when combined with the ECU due to the much sportier auto mapping.

Cheers
BenJ
