hi guys, i have an EL and just put in an adjustable shift kit i made myself. works pritty good.

while talking to the local sparky about it all, he told me about a kit that a guy had brought off ebay that tricks the ecu in to running in closed loop mode (i think) buy a resistor telling the ecu the engine is too cold.

if i was going to do this i'd put a switch in there to disable it because apparently he came back to the sparky and had a poisoned O2 sensor. anyone know which EEC-IV pin to do and what resistance???

7 Engine Coolant Temp 20*C-3.1V, 40*C-2.2V, 100*C-0.5V
25 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 0*C 3.9V, 20*C 3,1V, 40*C 2.2V
29 HEGO (Oxygen Sensor) Input 0.1V - 0.8V with Engine Running

Cheers guys

this has been covered numerous times....

i think its my turn to answer...

its a 20c resistor, that tricks the car into thinking its running colder than it is... it just makes your car run rich as all hell, for about a week until your ECU learns around it...and accomodates for it, and changes it all back to run like it did before.
