My EB 5L shows current (reading 1)8 to 8.5 l / 100 klms @ 110 Klm crusing and average since last reset (reading 2)@ 12.8/ 100klm.

The last setting is an average reading since last reset, the reference point is set each each you start the car.

Reading 1 will display anything from 99L/100klms @ idle to 45-50L /klms accelerating

Hope this helps.

Thats not bad at all for the V8

My six uses 1 litre less per 100km on the highway and around 10-12L/100km in city stop-start driving...

hi guys
those readings are verry good but how accurate are the trip computers.
as my 50l uses about 20 ltrs per 100 kms city driving.
and about 16 ltrs per 100kms on the hwy averaging 110 kms per hour.

i dont have a trip comp but its worked out by how many litres in the tank
and how many kms i get.

im not doubting that you guys get that kind of economy
it just freaks me out because i cant get less than 18 ltrs per 100 kms driving like a grandpa..

or is there something wrong with my car.... :?

You have all got it good. My 5.0 is averaging 23-28l/100km around town, but i do use full throttle just about everywhere, and on the highway, i get 9l/100, sitting just above the 110kmh limit. These have been worked out using the trip comp and comparing fuel used on the fill and distance covered as well. The trip comp in mine is about 15% to low, but i do have a fair bit done to the fuel system, soo that is to be expected.
