will a unichip from an EL XR8 fit an EF I6?

They have the same pinouts. i.e. EL V8 eec = 104 pin, ef i6 eec = 104 pin.

But the configuration of the chip itself will be very different. It may be able to be reprogrammed but it may not...

Proceed with caution fraser. Any unichip dealers in perth you can ask?

if they both have dizzys it will work but if 1 has coil packs you need a diffrent unichip
