After the weekends dyno day found my cars are running on the rich side,
not sure which way to go unichip is well know and reasonably priced the TSI is newish to the market has more features (from what I'm told) and has a higher price tag like $1895 fitted and tuned.
Has anyone had expirence with the TSI? and those who have got Unichip what are your thoughts?

Neil

I wouldnt be too keen on the TSI .... a couple of tradies I know have had majo issues trying to contact the distributors for TSI controller units they just dont answer the phones....

I'd go a piggy back unit over the TSI

Try TwEECer and a Mustang ECU. Similar money, much better option.

Also consider EMS8860, or even the megasquirt.

I have the same problem neil101.

And I am going Unichip. For a street daily driver which is only going to be tuned once for life basicly then it does all i want controlling ign advance and fuelling to fill the gaps left by the std ecu which can't really understand what a cammed motor is doing most of the time so just goes rich to be safe.

I will post up how i go with it.

I havent had much luck with my unichip, it produces the goods in the top end, but has a flat spot off idle the size of the grand canyon(til about 2400rpm). It is booked into Granville Autotech next wednesday, apparently Spiro is a tuning god, if he cant fix it them i am going aftermarket sequential injection
