and thats probably a pretty realistic figure josh, i put the au on the dyno and got 178.5 rwhp, and a stock ba is much better than the mods on the au

Tell me about it.. auto BA's are slugs off the line :(

thats why one of the 1st things i want to get when mine runs out of warranty is a hi stall, cya later bommodores! lol

thats a good choice of mods josh, get a hi stall tho, not going to help the dyno figure tho. i didnt realise u had that much done to it.

it should already be a quicker than any stock 6 cyl commo apart from alloytec190. ba's do sub 8 to 100. not so with commo. also over the 1/4 even the alloytec 190 will only be a fraction in front.

The stock throttle body is 70mm not 62mm. Oversized TBs will not give you much of a gain (close to nothing) on a NA 6. Guys with xr6 turbos are running 300 plus rwkw and still using the stock TB.

Who tuned the flash tuner?

With Tiptronic i've Walked away from a SS VT. The only thing that i could see wrong when i put her on the Dyno is that the lad left it in standard Auto and not in performance or Tiptronic mode... so i think that i may have gotten a higher rwhp if he had done so

I measured 62mm with a tape... was going to use vernier calipers.

My Mate is a Mech. who did the tune...

Ahh ok fair enough. Thats good power your making mate. Now all you need is a 3.73 lsd diff and hold on!!!

I reckon you should be able to pull some mid 14's without too much effort.

Yeah all the drivetrain is still stock as a rock...

"I reckon you should be able to pull some mid 14's without too much effort."

I Hope so that is if i don't sit there smoking it... You reackon with TC on or TC off? i was going to do a run with both... one with it on and one with it off. and see what that does?

"Ahh ok fair enough. Thats good power your making mate. Now all you need is a 3.73 lsd diff and hold on!!!"

I mean with a tape measure you have to allow for 3-4mm difference due to the hook on the end... so for all i know it could be 70mm... Hope to make a little more power tho :P but in time that will come...

I also forgot to note that there is a XR8 Fuel pump compared to the Standard BA I6 pump... i'm not sure what kind of increase the presvious owner was hoping to gain from it...

Would that XR8 pump do anything as such? of just flood the motor? I think that the Lift pump might be upgraded as well.

My XT has no problem with wheel spin off the line, the diff ratio and tall first gear sees to that. Theoretically then it shouldn't matter if you have traction control on or off but it's probably better off and just use your foot (since when do XT's have traction control anyway, was yours optioned up at the factory or put in later?).

The standard fuel pump should be fine as well although it won't hurt to have an XR8 pump in there. That said mine seems to have weird fuel issues but I think that's just a quirk with my car as no-one else has heard of anything like that before. Best you can do is just get out there and give it a go :)

fnp, I think it might be a BA thing.
Ivan (fpv_gtP) had problems with his GTP at the heathcote drag day, it was starving of fuel.
Is that what yours does?
Mr.Soul, TC off :D
Stock auto XT's seem to be good for mid 15s, I reckon you'll crack into the 14's.
Better diff ratio and an LSD, and youll see low 14's.
I ran 16.9 next to a stock XT running a 15.7, and off the line we were even.
