just out of curiousity... why do people think a manual is so much better than an auto...

in theory an auto should s**t all over manual. when changing gears in an auto, theres much less lag, the gearbox decides when the optimum point is to change for the best possibe accelleration... so why is a manual better than an auto???

im confused

TICKFORD_6, I'm not having a go, but if that blokes DEV5 equipped Falc couldn't break into the 13's, Id be very very surprised.

As for the auto versus manual arguement:

Auto = WAY to tall first gear and slow off the mark
Manual = Nice ratios and, in XR6 trim, very punchy off the mark and great in gear response.

Unless your going for BIG power, I'd go the manual e-series each and every time :)

mock them selves could not do it with factory suspension. they had to suspensio set up for drag racing. that not my guess that is what brendon mock told street fords mag..

and dev ute. it doesn't get driven on the street in the same form it is raced in. simple as that. IT GETS TRAILERD TO STRIP. you say they are the fastest. show me an other big name shop that is even trying??

ohh wait none. hmm yeah the fastest is easy when you are the only one trying

alted performance are doing a desent job. dont get me wrong there is still room for improvement like most things but they are another company trying to make out i6 fly. anyone who dosnt like it feel free to start ur own business and try to outdo these companies. as far as im conserned there items are better than stock ones and isnt that what matters? and not weather he has street trim or not

sure there are guys out there making them go faster.
but none of them are activly or publicly at the drags looking to be the fastest out there. only the mocks are. and so the only guys there are going to be the fastest.
doesn't make them the best.

hell ITS will have package deals too. and cost around the same as the mock ones, the ITS ones are all FULLY REBUILT ENGINES not just a head and cam and some extractors.
i know where i would rather spend the money.

anyone can make them go fast. it's not hard to do, they are no different to any other engine out there.

if mock droped there prices i leave them alone. For f**k sake $490 for a regrind cam. crow, wade, tighe, surecam, they all do new billets for less then that.

and there attitude to other companies trying to source parts that our customer request is just pathetic. The price they give for trade is just plain rude. put enough mark up on to break even ont he sale put your price higher then mocks price, let alone make money on the sale.

every time i've ever spocken to them they had little interest and were rude. sure they might be busy But so am i, i dont have hours to spend on the phone talk to them either, but i'm not rude to them. so they and i both lost a sale because they are rude pricks.

no respect at all for those people. they haven't earned it
