Dont see a reason why it shouldnt make the numbers you want.

Id be talking to a tune shop about the mods you have or intend on making. Taking the time now to talk to the right people will save you plenty of time and money later on.

Make sure the bottom end and oil systems are in good order.

i hav, with proof in my ef gli 125rwkw on a standard gas system (no gas research) and 130rwkw on pump 91 with...

pacemaker heads
re-flaged cat to 2.5"
2.5" redback back system
off the shelf stage 2 crow cam
K&N panel fillter
el GT intake (and standard BBQ plate intake pipe)
EA T5 covert (different gear pattern then EB onwards)
and whatever lil things ie XR6 plugs etc

that was without a tune...

if i got rid of the gas mixer, tuned it up right ran 95 or 98 and stuffed with the ecu i dont think i would fall short of 150. i did all the work myself and if you did the same i think you should be able to do it all for just under $3000

i am due to go back to the dyno with a new 3'' ram air intake to the air box, a tune and head clean to see what happens if i dont hit the mark of 150 i might look in to a XR6 head or a HP/F chip to tip it over

i think you will still fall short of 150 even without the gas setup, i would recomend that instead of buying a tickford head get your existing head reworked with the xr6 valves and a port and polish, will probably cost you the same amount, but will end up with a far better flowing head... then get it tuned, and you will come close...

yeah get some proper headwork done and you might see over 150 at the treads with a tune and removing the gas...stock compression + no headwork won't see over 150 unless you have some huge b**ch of a cam (well as big as you can run with stock compression) which needs to be revved out to 6500 (wouldn't try this on stock bottom end lol).

Btw I am assuming you are putting on your 3in "ram air intake" after you take off the gas mixer? And by ram air intake do you mean a 3in mandrel bent tube?

My ol' EA got 186 hp at the treads and the donk was stuffed, except for the head.
The mods were a ported & polished head, (std 3.9 cam) Pacie comps, modified BMW CAT, homemade exhaust, pod air filter, and a piggy back ECU. The car was a 5sp manual (factory), and an LSD 3.27 diff.
Now, all that stuff lives on my ED, except for the manual and the piggy back, but are to come.

Know this a thread dig but yeah

My post was originally mistaken! Exhaust is the only external mod as what is said! I know any ef I6 aint gonna see 150at the wheels as only mod! My point was is that you don't need a j3/computer to do 150 at the wheels! Cam, headwork, internals will get you there!

My first post was worded poorly.taken wrong

But im sure we have all moved onto bigger better things now!!!! :)

150rwkw is very easy these days, when I first started making these cams & then as a package we were pulling anywhere from 140 to 170rwkw with no computor mods at all..... then my beast with 198rwkw again with no ECU mods or mulitble t/b using ED log & the factory t/b.....So every ones played catch up in getting what we did all those years ago even the JM gear didnt get close, with all of the info that avaliable now days anyone can port heads but only a few really understand what there doing & why certin parts of the port need to be left alone.....I've even had to build an engine reconditions own head & made 25rwkw on top of his best head set up.....

Heads & Cams I'm not saying that mine is the best of anything thats out there, but funny that no over combo from whoever wanted to run cars that we set up or got the highest HP on dyno days

It's been a while, but the ED has the old EA head and cam and valve springs, an ACL Monotorque head gasket, std cam timing, 3" pod filter, log manifold, etc, and the piggy back but not tuned at the time, and I made 150rwkw, with the 5sp EA box and 3.27 LSD with the 235/60R15 tryes.
This is the video of the run.....204.5rwhp.
http://youtu.be/jJTh9F3Vgg0

I have since towed a car from Geelong to Rocky with it, returning 400km to the tank, using only 4th gear and sitting on around 3,000rpm on the highway, and it did it easy, easier than I thought it would.
