Hey Guys,

My mate just brought a EB XR6 and he wanted to drag my ED Futura. Now his XR is stock as come from the factory. Where as my ED has some mods done i have a Redback 2/5 inch Exhaust system with sports cat, Headers, XH Snorkel with K&N Air Filter and the Head has been shaved.

Do you guys reckon i stand a chance or im gonna get eaten alive cause i can't stand it wen ppl like my mate bag me for mocking up my ED to look like an XR and say it dosent go nowhere.

Thanks Guys,
GMHETR

is his auto or manual? is urs auto or manual;?

if they are both autos it will be close, but he wil lbeat you. he has better diff gears in the back, and a better head/cam and ecu.

if his is a manual you have no chance.
lol

the only chance you have of winning is if yours is a manual and his is an auto..

god thats confusing
:D

I'd be backing the XR personally... more aggresive cam (i think?), sportier final diff ratio and lighter mass. Unless your headers are pretty damn good and the XR isn't running well, i'd say you'll lose

XR6 has got 3.45 Diff, your futura has got a 3.08 Diff. He will get you off the line, try a kick back at say 60, then it will be closer.

I took on my mates Auto V6 VN with sports exhaust, lowered and pod. He won but only by a little little bit.

Id say the XR fo shure.

I find it hard to believe that an EA ghia auto can beat 5 speed v6's.

That any stock auto falcon can beat a 5 speed commy...

back on topic, I'd say the ED and XR6 would be rather close, the diff may let the ED down though.
