Sup everyone, ive got $2k to spend on the na el ie had for a while, its not as fast as when it had the supercharger but i didnt like the charger (drank like a fish and a few others).

So ive got $2-3k to spend on mods, im thinking a turbo kit but im totally open to suggestions.

Currently:
P&P head
pacies (not sure which of the two) & 2.5 exhaust
3.45standard lsd
cross drilled + slotted rotors, work sweet no work needed here
1521a massive lift wade cam (lumpiest mofo, you would not believe)
sprintgas mixer setup, doesnt go too bad, 500-580km's per 68L's (mixed)
modified airbox, big hole in the bottom venting through a huge hole cut in the frame, works a treat!

So my thoughts were:
rebuilt American turbo using garret T04Z parts
log manifold
petrol side of things removed completly*
dump pipe made up to suit current exhaust
-Would like to make up a seperate oil sump for the turbo, so its oil can be refreshed more often and it's color and metal content can be monitored.
Run a 6psi spring and using an elec boost controller run between 6psi and 12, 14-16psi if its safe enough.
Converter needs a boost line fitted upto it to supply more lpg to it while boosting.
Ive got a boost gauge
afr
intercooled
engineered (if it can be done for a reasonable price)

*Since the car starts on petrol and switches to lpg immediately, if the petrol side is removed for the epa testing, how will the car start? Can we change this?

Just wonder what you guys think, i would buy another secondhand supercharger if it was in good nic, good kit etc, but i wouldnt mind chasing the turbo trail.
Or i could simply get an engine thats rebuilt secondhand from someone that has had some money spent on it, but thats a long shot.

Please suggest what you think is the best bang for buck (not having to get it engineered to be legal is a huge bonus).

CHEERS

You will be pushing it to turbo it for $2grand. Engineered for $2grand I dare say won't happen.

Apart from this how many k's has the engine/transmission done? If around/over 200 and not rebuilt I would steer clear of turbo/supercharging as it will prematurely kill it.

That cam also has a fair bit of overlap to be using with a f/i setup.

If you already have the turbo though and do all the work yourself you may be able to get it all in for under 3k.

what are the sprintgas mixers like?

if theyre like a normal mixer ring it could be severely harming your top end power
