Impressive stuff there!

What ever mate, i no my car is quicker then them so thats that.

dont bother man.... to some people its just UNBELIVEABLE!!! that a modified falcon with probably 180+ at the fly could beat a torqueless 3.0L with 160kw.... anyway.

you want to beat a twin turbo supra with an NA falcon?

stuff 9.5:1 compression, try 10.5-11:1 compression....
big cam, custom tune, etc you need a WIDE torque band and a serious kick in the balls in regards to power, i wouldnt be going anything smaller then a 977B cam, or a totaly custom grind... even then tuned you will struggle to make 180rwkw with a worked head. (EB head flows the best stock i think?)

you say your running a 6speed and 3.8 gears? work out the overdrive, if your ticking over at anything less then 2300rpm at 100km/h up the gearing to 4.11s or something.

oh yeah... one thing that DOES make a big difference is the clutch, i reccomend a cushioned button, still very streetable, but far out they bite so much harder then an organic type clutch, and dont skimp on it either, get an exedy clutch or similar.

oh yeah Grechies car runs a stock unported head.... here's the list of mods that i know of...

Wade camshaft 1673 (mild), Shaved Head (no headwork at all) Full ACL bottom end, 5 Speed, 3.7 LSD, Pacie Headers 4499, 3" Exhaust, AU injectors on a stock Tickford XR6 ECU and a pod filter.

yea turbos are good but ive been thinking bout it for a while now and i may just go down the sc route :) i do think that with my list of mods {3.5"mandrel bent intake w/pod, 2.5" exhaust, JMM race series headers, JMM DEV5 cam, Port n polish w/xr6 exhaust valves, JMM 3000 Stally, Electronic shift kit i should be pushin 150 - 170RWKW (beating stock BA xr6s quite easily down the qtr) if i was to slap a sc and a chip on it, i seriously think i would give most XR6t around a run. and for simplicity !!!!! bolt it on in one arvo and i get to keep the JMM race series headers which make the car sound better than anything.

I'm not talking up mine at all, im just saying that a stock supra NA, id love to see one of them do a 14.9 because every supra NA i have come up to i have pulled away with out much trouble. Unless mine does better than 14.9 but i doubt that. I will have to take mine down to calder one day to show you what it runs.

Can't wait to see what you run down the quarter (and your 60 foot time will make for interesting reading...).
Will be watching with interest.
As stated, your EL seems to be able to demolish most cars on the road.
Must be nice to drive where you live, with the amount of racing you seem to do...

Gezza, i think downingj was referring to how much street racing youve done to use for comparisions as opposed to the fact you havnt taken your car down the 1/4 to see what times it pulls...

VX Clupsport should go pretty hard but they still dont take off quick, i have beatin every VT SS i have raced and they havn't been able to catch

Your V8 must of been rooted becuause i have raced 3 supercharged VT's (2 calais's and an S). All 3 times neck an neck untill about 90 then i started to pull away, except for the S which we were neck an neck untill 110k then i started to pull away.

yeah i would believe it, some 4's hammer off the line but i will always real them in pretty quick

I reckon james XR wouldn't have a problem beating an R33 GTS-T, i raced one a few weeks ago, beat him off the line and to 100km and he would slowly pass me at 130km, also raced 3 times

Hi my mate just got a EF falcon futura 4.0L auto, hes a mechanic and he just put the EF XR6 head on it and serviced the car so its running nice. We had a quick squirt last night and his car couldn't keep up with mine at all. We both booted it from 50ks and stop at around 120k

GeZza200 wrote:
I had a run in with a VS ute with 185kw on the back and beat that by about a car length to 130k's then backed off and i was slowly pulling away aswell.

dont no how u lost, iv givin heaps of xr's a hiding and quite a few xr8's

I know this thread is old but, did you end up racing him?? Because i just had a run in with a VX XU6 tonight and beat it. I was about 2 car lenghts in front at 120 then i backed off. He wound down his window at the next lights, should of seen his face when he looked at me lol.

GeZza200 wrote:
stock ED's must be slow as s**t then, i can wip VL turbos quite easy in mine and even if they are boosted high, they have to catch me, and by that time i have already backed off.
