I never pulled the timming chain off or anything below the head besides the water pump so could of that still happened? but that did come to mind it was TDC and piston was up and it was right up to TDC and dizzy went in on the spot then it still struglled to start and run i also have full charged battery and spare one ready to replace when getting it started

Definately at TDC on cyl 1, not cyl 6?

If the engine is set for TDC cyl 6 but the dizzy put to fire on cyl 1, it wont start... But I imagine if you play with the dizzy position and rotate it, you may eventually get it to start buy luck.

I put the dizzy in my EL one tooth wrong once. I got it to start and turned it enough to get proper ignition timing before it hit the retainer bracket and bolt. If you still need more movement to get the right ignition setting, I would guess its alot more out of adjustment than 1 tooth. :S

As Much as the XF EFI was a f**k up, the later model MPI EFI Motors are a thing of beauty! If you do need an XF ECU, Give me a shout and you can just pay me postage and a little bit of fuel for it!

Geeze Im a Nice Bloke!
