Hi guys, I have a 3.9 multipoint and want to put in an au motor.I only have the block/internals and head from the AU.Is it possible to hook up the existing wiring and manifold to the AU motor?

yup, most of it will bolt on ... BUT the problem you come into is the the AU motor runs the serp. belt, and the EA runs the 3 belts.

If you only have the AU bare motor, will need to change the timing case cover, and the harmobic balancer, plus also add your ea water pump, power steering & alternator bracket .

also, putting the AU motor into an EA, you will need to mod the k-frame for it to fit in .

motor is actually going into an XF. Would there still be a problem if I am using XG mounts?
Haven't picked the motor up yet so I'm not sure what accessories are still on it. The car was in a fire and the plastic top cover and injection wiring wrer melted. Hopefully everything else is there and still good.
Dumb question! What is the serp? you mentioned.

I said it was a DUMB question!! I miss-read your reply and got 'serp' stuck in my head but not the rest of the sentence.
